COBRA Coverage Extension

While enrolled in COBRA coverage, you and/or your eligible dependents may be able to extend the COBRA coverage.

Original qualifying event	Second qualifying event that lets you/your dependent extend COBRA coverage	Who gets the coverage extension?	When to notify the Fund Office	Length of coverage extension
You terminate employment (you quit, are laid off, or retire) or your hours are reduced	You become disabled within the first 60 days of COBRA coverage	You and your dependents	Within 60 days of becoming disabled	11 months
